Read Acts 4:32-37
Title in NIV: The believers share with others in need.
I must have been nice-- while it lasted-- to be new believers and be one ine heart and mind with eachother. Our goal should be unity! We do not have to worship in the same manner, at the same building, with the same format. But we DO have to worship Jesus who saved all of us from our sins. He is not a respector of names, buildings or formats. Just our hearts and motives.
It must have been nice-- and something I can't grasp-- to share everything with everyone and claim nothing as your own. There was no needy person among them. Our goal should be to give. Giving time is the most important and the hardest. Give money. Give pray. Give support to others who do these things.
People would sell their land or houses and give money to apostles to be distributed to anyone in need. Our goal shoud be selflessness.
I think this is what it was like before division, taking and hording attitudes snuck into their life. Chapter 5 startes off with just such a story.
You have a unique story that can heal and change lives. You have been steeped in it since before birth. I want to give you the tools using Biblical principles to understand, accept and share your story.
