Appreciate the Past while Focusing on the Future

No matter what age you are, look on your past with appreciation because it is your past that has lead you to who you are right now.

What if that pivotal person who pushed you to succeed was not present in our life. Where would you be? What if that tragedy did not occur that made you pivot into a better course? What if that relationship did not crumble. Where would you be now? Some of the worst things in my life made me be a better me! If even one stepping stone would have been removed, I would not have been the person I am today.

Don’t like what you see in the mirror? Lay pavers toward a more positive future goal. It is not too late for you to look back and say you are a better person for going through your mess. You could even say it as early as tomorrow if you change the direction you are walking today.

Remember to lay the foundation on Jesus Christ because all other foundations crumble. Keep in step with the Spirit. Focus on where you are going not on where you have been.

(I am laying some new pavers in my writing journey. Look for changes soon. You can already see a new photo. More to come.)

Blessings!

This is something I am personally going through right now. Sometimes I look back and think "why me?" I am so great full for my life now and you are right..without all those trials in my past I wouldn't be who I am today. I can honestly say I like who I have become and I need to stop dwelling on those things and be thankful for them! Thank you Erin!

You're welcome! And I have seen you use your past to help others. It is hard to be thankful for the struggles we have been through, that is for sure. Focus on the blessing you are to others because of your struggles. Think of the people you would not have touched if you had not have had that connections. You are a blessing!

So glad you found me!  Steeped In Purpose has moved to a better location to serve you! www.steepedinpurpose.net You can still find great...
