I wanted to do do a study on the Spirit (big 'S') this week since I spent time on the spirit (small 's') last week.
One of my favorite verses in Ephesians 1:19. The (Spirit) power in us is the same power God raised Jesus form the dead. I think about that verse when I am tired or need strength doing something or courage in a situation. I wonder how I can utilize that power and 'tap' into it. First, I think it takes faith to even believe we have access to that kind of power. We do, but our flesh gets in the way.
Another interesting concept is the fact that in the old testament, the Spirit is always 'on' a person. In the new testament, Jesus put his Spirit 'in' people. We have the Spirit in us. I struggle with listening to it and listening to the worldly voices screaming at me. The world is so loud. Maybe that is why God said "Be still and know..."
Here is a list from the Word about the Spirit (I like lists):
Joel 2:28 Joel predicted the Spirit would be poured out
Matthew 4:1 be lead by the Spirit
Galatians 5:25 keep in step with the Spirit
John 7:39 streams of living water= Spirit
Acts 1:5 baptized with the Holy Spirit
Acts 2:38 Spirit is a gift
Rom. 8:26 helps us in our weakness
Gal. 5:22 fruit of the Spirit
Eph. 1:13 Spirit is our seal
Eph. 4:30 do not grieve the Spirit
Eph. 6:17 sword of the Spirit is the Word of God
2 Peter 1:21 be carried along by the Spirit
Further study:

1Cor 2:10, 2:14, 6:19
